Training day for first responders

On Saturday week last members of Killaloe/Ballina Critical CFR shared a day’s training with fellow Community First Responders, the National Ambulance Service, and other healthcare professionals, gaining valuable insights that help them provide the best possible care to their patients.

The Killaloe-Ballina Group supports communities within a 15km radius of the twin towns and is tasked by the National Ambulance Service to respond to 999 emergencies involving cardiac arrest, choking, stroke, and chest pain.

So far this year, the volunteers attended over 220 emergency calls. Behind every call is a patient, a family and a community, and Critical CFR personnel are incredibly grateful for the trust placed in them when they arrive to help someone’s loved one in what can be an incredibly difficult moment.
