Panel development paying dividends for Kiladangan

Kiladangan don't have much time to ready themselves for a North Final after impressively booking their place in the decider following a 3-18 to 4-10 semi-final replay win over Nenagh Eire Og last Sunday.

The five point margin flattered Nenagh whose three late goals in added time put some gloss on the result after Kiladangan comprehensively outplayed them, particularly bringing the required workrate which pleased manager Garry Byrne.

“It was good to come through it in the finish. We put our best foot forward today,” he said following the game.

“After the drawn game a good few weeks ago, we knew today was going to be a tough battle and it was no different than what we thought.

“Our lads from the word go this year have put their best foot forward, we have done a lot of work on our strength & conditioning and that sort of stuff, it’s paying dividends now, games are coming thick and fast, nearly every week now at this stage so it is important we get that work done.

“We looked alright today but there are things to work on and we’ll go back to the drawing board.”
