Text Alert meeting in Silvermines

Silvermines Text Alert are holding an event at Dolla hurling field on this Saturday, September 5, from 10am to 2pm.

This will be an opportunity to sign up to the new Cairde App. This is a fantastic piece of software for keeping in touch with your local community, from reporting missing persons, pets, antisocial behaviour etc; it also includes a panic button. When you press the panic button it alerts your contacts, Garda Síochána, and gives them your location on their phone on a map. Also, the precise coordinates, of the exact position where you pressed the panic button. You will need to bring your smart phone, plus €20 to register.

You will also have the opportunity to have your property branded, trailers, tools, bikes, etc. Please bring your driving license as the ID of the license will be lasered onto your equipment.

This is a free service provider by Muintir na Tíre. A donation box will be provided for donations to North Tipperary Hospice. Our local Community Garda Allison O'Connell, representatives from Task Community Care, and Muintir na Tíre will attend and provide more information. All welcome.
