Minister Coveney to attend Nenagh Brexit discussion

This Friday, March 31st, Cllr Phyll Bugler will host a public Brexit discussion attended by Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government Simon Coveney at the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh, at 8pm.

Also among the attendance will be MEP for Ireland South Seán Kelly and Chairman of North Tipperary IFA Tim Cullinan.

With the announcement of the triggering of article 50 coming into effect this Wednesday, we now face the beginning of Britain’s process to leave the EU, an event which will present huge challenges to Ireland as a country, on both a local, national and international level. This Brexit discussion is an opportunity for members of the public to educate themselves around the issue, to find out exactly what the implications are, and how Ireland intends to respond.

The event is open to all members of the public, young and old, and we encourage everyone to avail of this chance to meet and engage with some of Ireland’s leading political figures in preparing for what will be a hugely significant part of Irish and indeed European history.
