Nenagh Choral Society bring '9 to 5: The Musical' to Scouts Hall!
Nenagh Choral Society has had no time to fool 'Around Here' as the first night of '9 to 5: The Musical' commences this coming Monday, March 27th and runs to Saturday April 1st.
Since November last year, the Scouts Hall, Nenagh, has been a hub of activity between dance and singing rehearsals, set construction, costume fitting and endless cups of coffee… with something ‘skinny and sweet’ as Mr Hart, played by Mike McMahon, always reminds us! Putting on a performance like this every year requires dedication, enthusiasm and vision, so to all of those involved with this production, NCS would like to sincerely thank you for all your hard work.
NCS first took to the stage in 1949 when it produced its first show 'The Quaker Girl' and since then it has gone from strength to strength and continues to thrive as it now produces two musicals each year in its newly renovated spiritual home, the Scouts Hall. Being part of Nenagh Choral Society is not only a great opportunity to showcase the great talent that is here in Nenagh but is also a great way to meet new people, get involved in the community and to also be part of something fun and energetic.

'9 to 5: The Musical' is a musical based on the 1980 movie of the same name, with music and lyrics by the famous Dolly Parton. It tells the story of three unlikely friends who take control of their office and learn there is nothing they can’t do, even in a man’s world. This hilarious story of friendship and revenge shows what can happen when these three women are pushed to the boiling point to get even with the egotistical, lying, hypocritical (to name a few!) man they call their boss. This high-energy show features musical numbers such as the famous '9 to 5', 'Here for you', 'Heart to Hart', and 'Shine like the Sun', and with dance numbers to get you moving in your seat, it is definitely not to be missed!
