Sunday's concert featuring The Gunas in Killaloe Cathedral is at 4pm.

Christmas concert in killaloe cathedral today

A small initial gathering of seven female voices began as an intimate harmony accapella group in Killaloe. From those humble origins The Gúnas have flourished into a successful and motivated musical ensemble and has become widely recognised as an important contributor  to the musical and cultural life of the region and will perform this Sunday in Killaloe Cathedral.

The Gunas have had the pleasure of performing in many local events including 'The Big Pink Gig' and 'The Festival of Light', in addition to various fund-raising initiatives and Christmas events.

This Sunday December 7th, The Gúnas, now under the musical direction of Rhoda Clery, will bring in the festive season by hosting their first concert. It will be an afternoon of Christmas songs, music and stories in the stunning Killaloe cathedral. The Gúnas will be joined by special guests, the Irish Youth Harp Orchestra with their musical director, Janet Harbison, and the Bella Voce Girls Choir.

Tickets are €10 and are available from choir members or from Wood Brothers Bistro, Main Street, Killaloe.
