The inter-county camogie season gets underway next Sunday (January 20th) when the 2019 Littlewoods Ireland Camogie League getting under way.

Ballinahinch's Bill Mullaney returns for his second year at the helm of both the senior and the intermediate teams and once again Niamh Lillis from Drom & Inch will be joining him as well as Cian Treacy (Thurles Sarsfields) and Carmel Bradshaw (Ballina) as selectors, with Dinny Ferncombe (Holycross), Eddie Costello (Drom & Inch) and Paddy Quinlan, strength and conditioning coach, also part of the back-room team.

Tipperary couldn't have been given a stiffer task as they welcome All Ireland champions Cork to the Ragg for their opening game on Sunday.

The Premier girls will also host Galway a week later before having a bye in round three, finishing up with back to back away games against Wexford and Waterford on Sunday 17th & 24th respectively with the top two teams progressing to the semi-finals on 10th March with the final pencilled is as a curtain-raiser to the men's hurling league final on Sunday 24th March.

All teams in the group will be confident of taking points off each other,” admitted manager Bill Mullaney looking ahead to the 2019 competition.
