St Mary's edged out in Munster Final

St. Flannan’s College Ennis 1-5

St. Mary’s Secondary School, Nenagh 1-3

St. Mary’s Secondary School Nenagh narrowly missed out on claiming Munster glory for their school on Saturday in the Munster Schools Senior ‘B’ Camogie final.

Despite eventually finding their rhythm in the second half, it was their slow start in the opening half that cost them in falling short by two points at the final whistle.

There was little or nothing between the sides throughout with the Clare side just edging the play at the break, and while St. Mary’s second half fightback provided a very entertaining and exciting showdown against St. Flannan’s who just about deserved the title in the end.

However, all is not lost for St Mary's who still progress to the All Ireland semi-final where they will play the Leinster champions next month.

It was St. Flannan’s who dominated a lot of possession in the early stages and St. Mary’s were struggling to get the ball past half way. However they defended well and it took until the seventh minute when Aoibhinn Ryan converted a 30m free to get St. Flannan’s on the scoreboard.
