The losing slide continued for Nenagh Ormond as they slumped to a home thumping at the hands of Limerick rivals Old Crescent last Saturday.
It seems a lifetime ago since Nenagh’s opening round win against Rainey Old Boys having now lost six in a row in a game where they were completely outplayed by the visitors for much of the game and the lack of form will be a big worry for all associated with Ormond as they now slump to second from the bottom of Division 2A.
Although Nenagh have been unlucky in recent matches, coming out on the wrong side of some tight games, they can’t have any complaints after this encounter as they looked all out of ideas in every department against a clinical opposition.
An Old Crescent try in the fourth minute set the tone of what was to come for Nenagh, as they were cut open far too easily in midfield by Val McDermott, who couldn’t believe the lack of defensive resistance as he coasted clear to touch down.
