Apartments planned for Nenagh
Tipperary Co Council is considering a planning application for the development of five apartments on Nenagh’s main street.
Martin Kenny is seeking permission for a reduction of retail area at ground floor and change of use of part of the retail and storage area previously known as The White Swan Launderette at Pearse St. The proposed new use is residential – five apartments in total, two two-bed and three one-bed units.
The plan also includes modifications to the shop front with the provision of a new entrance for access to the central courtyard and external stairways. A four-storey extension is planned to the rear of the main building, along with demolition of single- and two-storey structures to rear with the construction of a three-storey mews building, widening of rear access gate, bin and bicycle storage, private open space terraces, adjustments to windows and door opes, and all associated internal modifications and site works.
The council is to issue a decision on the application by July 6.
