New single from Nenagh musician
Seasoned Nenagh musician Martin ‘Twisty’ O’Brien has a new single out.
‘Orchid Remains’ is the latest solo offering from Twisty, who wrote the song only a few days ago. It was inspired by a documentary he watched on Brehon Law and a separate show about ancient Irish phrases that are lost.
Despite being somewhat impromptu and unplanned, Twisty likes the new song enough to release it as a single. It adds to his solo canon that began at the emergence from covid lockdown with ‘The Wolves Are Coming’. Twisty has also released uplifting rocker ‘This Pill Will Cure You’ and a nostalgic ode to Nenagh, ‘The Streets of My Old Town’.
The Nenagh musician has been a central part of the local scene for many years, having been in bands like Royal Flush, Susie, My Name Was Clark, Billy’s Cinema and the Irish Pink Floyd.
His new single, ‘Orchid Remains’ will be released this Thursday, May 14, on Apple Music and Spotify. Check out www.facebook.com/musicassociationnenagh for the video to the single.
