Kiladangan lament poor performance

Kiladangan will reflect through the winter months of when went wrong as they suffered a second county senior hurling final defeat in four years on Sunday.

“We are devastated but we can have no complaints. We just didn’t turn up at all,” admitted manager Brian Lawlor.

“I can’t think of any Kiladangan player that won their positional battle. It was all Borris-Ileigh today. They just wanted it more.

“It’s disappointing. We have played ten championship games this year, winning nine and lost one but for some reason we saved our worst performance for the biggest day. That wasn’t the real Kiladangan out there.”
