Success of Nenagh Christmas Tree Festival

The committee that organised the successful Nenagh Christmas Tree Festival at St Mary's Church would like to thank all who helped in so many ways with the event.

Such a beautiful display of imaginative Christmas Trees would not have been possible without the support of the very many people, organisations and businesses in the Nenagh and North Tipperary area who took time out of their very busy schedules to be involved, and we are most grateful to them all.

The wonderful afternoon teas, the superb musical interludes, the array of homemade preserves, the fantastic raffle prizes all became possible through the generosity of those who gave so willingly, and we thank each and everyone of them.

Most importantly we would like to thank all those who came along to support Nenagh Christmas Tree Festival, and the carol service, and, thereby helped us to support our chosen local charities - Áras Folláin, St Vincent de Paul (Nenagh) and the Semicolon Project, Nenagh

Great interest is taken in the voting for the favourite trees and this year's winners were: Favourite Individual - 'Joy to the World' by the Doran Family; Favourite Organisation - 'Journey to Bethlehem' by St Cronan's Services, Nenagh; Favourite Business/Retail - 'World of Fairies' by Cottage Garden Crafts.

The Best Business/Retail tree was sponsored by Nenagh Chamber of Commerce (and judged independently by a local artist) and awarded to 'Classy Lady' by Edel's Boutique.

We would especially like to thank the Nenagh Guardian for the publicity given in the weeks prior to and during the festival.

Good wishes for Christmas and every happiness in the coming year from the Nenagh Christmas Tree Festival Committee.
