Traffic Management PlanMunster Senior Hurling Final &ndash; Tipperary vWaterford<br>Electric Ireland Munster Minor Hurling Final &ndash; Limerick vTipperary<br>Gaelic Grounds, Limerick<br>10th July 2016<br>Throw-ins: 14:00&nbsp;&amp; 16:00Press ReleaseThe venue for this year&rsquo;s Munster Minorand Senior Hurling Finals is the Gaelic Grounds which is situatedon the Ennis Road in Limerick.Supporters are requested to take note of thefollowing: &ndash;&bull; The Ennis Road will be closed totraffic.<br>&bull; There is no parking in the vicinity of the GaelicGrounds.<br>&bull; Supporters are requested to arrive in Limerick at least1&frac12; hours before the senior match starts [4pm].<br>&bull; Vehicles should be parked on the city (south) side of theRiver Shannon.<br>&bull; Normal traffic flow should be restored approx. 1 hour afterthe senior match finishes.The GAA have made provisions for Park &amp; Ridefrom the following locations: &ndash;&bull; Limerick Dog Track, Dock Road,Limerick<br>&bull; Kilmurray Inn, Castletroy, Limerick<br>&bull; Mungret GAA, Mungret Village<br>&bull; Wickes Carpark, Ballysimon Road.Details of Limerick City parking can be obtainedfrom&nbsp;www.limerickparking.ieVehicles parked illegally or causing anobstruction will be subject to tow-away operations.
The following is the Garda Traffic ManagementPlan to cater for the above Munster Hurling Finals, at the GaelicGrounds, Ennis Road, Limerick City on Sunday the 10th July,2016.The Garda advice to patrons is to arrive inplenty of time to park up cars legally, i.e. not causingobstruction, on green areas or on locations where parking isprohibited. Cars illegally parked will be ticketed and thosecausing obstruction are likely to be towed away by Gardai.Patrons are advised to use Street &amp; OffStreet Parking in the City and avail of the Bus Eireann servicefrom Lower Henry Street to travel or to take the 15/ 20 minutes towalk out to the venue as they will be caught up in traffic if theycross the bridges in the City out to the venue.The following road closures and diversions willbe in place on Sunday 10th July, 2016.Closures/ Diversions<br>Road Closures/ diversions will apply from 12pm onwards at thefollowing locations;&bull; Ennis Rd. at its junction withIvan&rsquo;s Cross &ndash; traffic will be diverted to NorthernRing Road and towards Clonmacken<br>&bull; Ennis Rd. at its junction with Sarsfield Bridge &ndash;traffic will be diverted along Clancy Strand. O&rsquo;CallaghanStrand will be closed off to traffic.<br>&bull; Condell Road/ Lower Shelbourne Road &ndash; traffic will notbe permitted to travel onto North Circular Road or onto ShelbourneRoad.<br>&bull; Shelbourne Road/ Hassetts Cross &ndash; no traffic will bepermitted to travel up Shelbourne Road<br>&bull; Old Cratloe Road at its junction with Mayorstone Drive<br>&bull; Old Cratloe Road at its junction with Mayorstone Upper<br>&bull; Old Cratloe Road at its junction with Mayorstone Upper &amp;LIT Roundabout (Merval Pk)<br>&bull; Coonagh Roundabout &ndash; Closed to all inbound trafficfrom 2pm.
