Dermot bannon visits thurles store

Celebrity architect Dermot Bannon recently visited Stakelums Home & Hardware store in Thurles, where a new bathroom and tile showroom has been opened.

RTÉ's 'Room to Improve' star Bannon was on hand to talk to customers at the well-known family-run store. He spent around three hours at Stakelums and gave a presenation on the principles of good design, using space and light, and bringing nature into the home. A wide cross-section of visitors including architects, interior designers, DIY people and home builders were in attendance.
Bannon also opened the new bathroom and tile showroom at Stakelums in conjunction with supplier Halo Tiles. The showroom is the latest addition to the Stakelums store, which is celebrating its 55th year in business this year.
