Collins Cycle Centre announce Tipperary Rás Tailteann team

The final places for the Collins Cycle Centre Tipperary Rás Team have been assigned.

PJ Collins, Eddie Brennan, Keith Fox, Connor Lambert and Conor McCann have been chosen to represent the team in Ireland's famous week long event which gets underway on Sunday 20th May.

With these five riders, the team have a good mixture of experience and youth and with both Conor and Connor we hope to put forward a good challenge for a county rider jersey.

I think with the blend of youth, talent with the two Conor’s and experience from the likes of Keith & Eddie we are looking forward to this year’s Rás.” said team owner PJ Collins.

Conor McCann is having a strong start to the Irish season, winning at the Spires GP, and was runner-up in the Tour of Ards, and Carn Classic respectively. These results lead to Conor being selected for the Irish team for Rás Mumhan.

Connor Lambert is a young man with a fantastic back story, from his first night on a velodrome aged 12 where he managed to knock himself out and break his collarbone in the one accident. He has bounced back from that start to claim 12 state titles in Australia on both Track and Road. To further his ambitions Connor has based himself in Belgium this year and is looking forward to his first Rás.

Adding a bit of experience to the mix are the Trio of Keith Fox, Eddie Brennan and PJ Collins. All three have been involved in the sport for a few years, with this being Rás number 5 for Keith.

The team will be backed up by Soigneur Theo English and manager Derek Troy. The riders will be using Verge Sport Kit as provided by John Dempsey.
