Irish Open Kickboxing Championships this weekend

The Irish Open in Kickboxing will be held at the CityWest Hotel, Dublin this weekend.

More than 4,000 athletes from all over the world will be gathered. This year Peace and Sport will collabroate with WAKO, the world governing body organizing, developing and promoting Kickboxing worldwide.

This year, once again, athletes, referees and the martial arts community participating in Europe’s largest kickboxing tournament accepted to donate the event’s profits to the ISPCC, Ireland’s national child protection charity.  In the last three years alone this event has raised over €46,000 for the Children's Charity. In a sporting arena international fighters and young athletes have the opportunity to compete against fighters of the same level.

Roy Baker, Chairman Irish Open Organizing Committee is proud to welcome Joël Bouzou, President-Founder of Peace and Sport. He will attend Irish Open together with WAKO President Borislav Pelevic.

During the event WAKO will do the 'WhiteCard' campaign for Peace and Sport. It's a symbol of commitment to peace efforts worldwide through sports.
