Tipp manager Michael Ryan named Manager of the month for September
Philips Ireland today named Michael Ryan, Manager of the Tipperary Senior Hurling Team, as the winner of the Manager of the Month for September.
On the 4th September the Tipperary side ‘comprehensively’ defeated Kilkenny by 2-20 to 2-29 to claim the Liam McCarthy Cup in Croke Park. It is their first title since 2010 and their 27th in all.
It was a sweet victory, at his first attempt, for Michael Ryan who only took the helm this season. Ryan has previously been a selector for the county before being appointed assistant manager under Eamon O’Shea.
