Koda announced as official vehicle of tipperary gaa

ŠKODA Ireland today reaffirmed their commitment to Tipperary GAA as their official kit vehicle partner.

As part of the deal ŠKODA are supplying 2 new Yeti Sherpa Kit vans to support Tipperary Inter county football and hurling teams.

ŠKODA’s association with Tipperary commenced back in 2011 and saw ŠKODA invest over €0.5m in the Premier County over the following four years. The sponsorship has proven immensely positive for ŠKODA, with the brand expanding their share of the car market from 5.2% in 2011 to a peak of 7.1% in 2013.

Speaking about the sponsorship, Raymond Leddy, Head of Marketing & Product at ŠKODA Ireland said:  “We had a brilliant 4 year relationship with Tipperary GAA, with highlights including participation in 3 All Ireland Senior Hurling Finals, 2 National League Finals, plus Minor All Ireland titles in both Hurling and Football. Building on the past 4 years we are delighted now to be the official kit vehicle supplier for Tipperary GAA. Tipperary inter-county teams had an ongoing need for a transport partner to support their gear and equipment transfers and the Yeti Sherpa Commercial vehicle was the perfect solution. I would like to wish the Tipperary Hurling and Football Teams the very best for the fast approaching championship season.”

Commenting, Tipperary County Board Chairman, Michael Bourke, said: “ŠKODA have been a great supporter of Tipperary GAA over the last four years and we are delighted to have them back on board. The Yeti Sherpa commercial vehicles make excellent kit vans and will assist all our squads in bringing future premier hurling and football success.”
