Hospice fundraising concert in Roscrea

Award-winning singer songwriter Don Stiffe is set to play at the Racket Hall this Friday, April 20th, as part of fundraising efforts by Roscrea Hospice Fundraising Committee for North Tipperary Hospice.

Coming to Roscrea also has personal significance for Don as he was adopted from Sean Ross Abbey when he was just 3 and half months old. He began his search four years ago and although he did manage to find out who his birth mother was, she had sadly passed away by the time he discovered her identity. He did however discover he had several siblings. Don will speak of his personal experience as well as treating us to some of his brilliant music including the very popular track he performed live on Tipp FM recently ‘You Will Always Be My Mother’.

There will be a big supporting cast on the night also including Theresa Larkin and her musicians, singers and dancers, Colin Williams and daughters, Bill Smith, Dinny Quirke and Anthony Bourke. Tickets are €10 and are available from Racket Hall, Theresa Larkin School of music, Pattersons Hardware Main St Roscrea and from any Roscrea Hospice Committee Member.

Should you or a family member wish to meet and chat with Roscrea Hospice Counsellor Catherine Harty at the local drop-in centre, you can do so by contacting Catherine on 0871236696.
