Dates announced for Nenagh street works

Cathaoirleach of Nenagh Municipal District Cllr John Carroll has announced planned start dates for the repair of Nenagh's main streets following Ervia's multi-utility works scheme.

The current resurfacing schedule of works is as follows: Kenyon Street (railway station roundabout to Market Cross), start date: September 25th; Pearse Street (Market Cross to McDonagh St junction), start date: October 13th.

A number of other streets and locations within the town that were impacted by the recent gas and wastewater works will see further resurfacing works during the months of October and November. Cllr Carroll said practically all streets within the town of Nenagh would be restored to a much improved surface condition.

Cllr Carroll has also indicated that the council executive and elected members of the Nenagh Municipal District are working to the best of their ability to restore many of the footpaths in the town to an acceptable condition but this work will be carried out on a phased basis over 2017 and 2018.

The Cathaoirleach praised the co-operation of Nenagh Chamber of Commerce, the entire business community and the residents of the town for their patience and understanding at a difficult time for all during the course of the major infrastructural works within the town of Nenagh.
