Green light for Nenagh gym plan

Tipperary Co Council has granted conditional planning permission for new development at the former site of Nenagh's Castle Brand aluminium factory.

Brian Comerford has successfully applied for a change of use of part of the former industrial building to provide an indoor sports gymnasium. The plan includes modifications to the external facade and provision of related signage.

The plan also includes a revised onsite parking configuration and use of existing vehicular access. Modification to the existing vehicular entrance, and setback and replacement of the existing roadside boundary wall is also planned to provide for improved geometry and footpath treatment.

Mr Comerford has also received retention permission for additional floor space to 'Unit 2 Gym' by way of a new upper floor, providing for an exercise room and office.
