Iconic musical 'Annie' to play in Nenagh

It has been a very busy time for everyone involved with Nenagh Choral Society as the first night of 'Annie: The Musical' commences this Thursday, October 6th, and runs to Sunday October 9th.

From stage construction, dance routines, music direction, lighting sequences, costume design and the endless hours put in by our volunteers, the Scouts Hall has been a hub of activity. To everyone involved, we would like to sincerely thank you.

As the opening night draws near, the youth of Nenagh excitedly wait and are busy putting the finishing touches to their costumes, makeup and on stage performances.

Since July, the large cast of 70 youths have put in all their time and effort to create a show that is not only visually and musically effective but also a display to the people of Nenagh what talent and dedication they have to the Nenagh Choral Society, which was initially established in 1949 when they staged their first production, 'The Quaker Girl'.

Back in 2010, NCS made the decision to invest in the youth of Nenagh and decided to stage a youth production, along with its yearly production, as the youth of today are the future of Nenagh Choral Society.

Since the first youth production of 'Les Misérables' in 2011, it was showcased that without a doubt the youth of Nenagh possess a high level of talent and this again shall be displayed in their up-coming show 'Annie: The Musical'.

With iconic songs such as 'Tomorrow' and 'You’re never fully dressed without a smile', this is a show that is not to be missed!!

'Annie: The Musical' runs from October 6-9th at 8pm with a matinée performance on the 9th at 6pm. Box office open in the Scouts Hall, Nenagh or call 086-3122725 to book your tickets.
