Final opportunity to sponsor Scouts Hall chairs

Nenagh Choral Society is offering members of the public a final chance to sponsor chairs at the recently revamped Scouts Hall.

To date, 387 chairs have been sponsored at the community hall, which reopened in 2015 following many years of disuse. An ideal gift or memorial mark, the 'Sponsor a Chair' initiative has proven a popular means for local people to associate themselves with one of Nenagh's most cherished buildings.

Nenagh Choral Society Ltd (NCSL) commenced a fundraising initiative in February 2014 to help finance the re-building of the Ashe Road hall. The building works commenced in May 2014 and the Society took ownership in October with the official opening by the NCSL directors in January 2015.

 

To date, numerous successful weekly and monthly events have taken place in the hall, along with the Society’s two musicals performed every year. Nearly 25,000 patrons have attended a variety of functions in this great hall since it reopened. Dancing on the famous maple floor can be seen again.

 

Nenagh Choral Society Limited is now bringing its fundraising initiative to a close and at present has 387 sponsored chairs, 58 patrons and 32 major sponsors. You can sponsor a chair for just €50. You can also choose to become a Major Sponsor (€500 or more) or Patron (€250) of the Scouts Hall.

 

The next stage is to place three 'Plaques' in the Scouts Hall where, forever and a day, all the names involved in the sponsorship will be inscribed and inextricably linked with supporting the re-building and refurbishment required after all these years.

 

The Plaques will be instated this December, and the closing date for final sponsorship will be September 30th 2016. You might also know someone who would dearly love to be seen as a contributor towards this marvellous project. Remember, sponsoring a chair can be useful for a variety of reasons: Birthday present, Christmas present, remembering a loved one, in memoriam, giving recognition to a former local who has departed the area, recognition of your children, recognition of your parents, recognition of a family, special occasion, Scouts Hall memory, christening present, a friendship - or a host of other reasons.
