Nenagh youths to present 'Annie'

Nenagh Choral Society is proud to announce that the youth academy shall be bringing to life the award winning, family favourite and much loved musical 'Annie' to the Scouts Hall stage in October 2016.

This is the sixth stage production that the youth academy will perform in the choral society’s spiritual home and will be the first time the society brings to life this colourful, lively and much loved musical.

This musical shows Miss Hannigan and the trickster Rooster grappling with Daddy Warbucks in a bid to win over the affections of Annie - the cheeky, red-haired, feisty yet loveable orphan who is searching for a place to call home. However she is not alone in her endeavours as her friends from the orphanage and her much loved dog Sandy are there to help her along the way.

Under the direction of Greg Browne, musical direction of Will Cullagh and choreographing skills of Stephanie Browne, this musical production will allow the audience to get swept away in the famous musical numbers such as 'Tomorrow', 'It’s a Hard Knock Life', and 'You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile', and you can bet your bottom dollar that you will walk away from this musical with nothing less than that!

The youth academy shall host its open night on July 15th at 7:30pm in the Scouts Hall, Nenagh. Persons wishing to take part in this wonderful experience must be aged between 12 and 18 and must be aged 12 on/before July 25th. The musical shall take the stage from October 6th-9th with three night shows and one matinee. All further information and any queries will be given and discussed at the open night.

All those interested, seasoned performers or newcomers, are most welcome to get involved either on or off-stage, so come along on July 15th to the Scouts Hall in Nenagh. See you there!
