Festival in Nenagh Community Wellness Garden
On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday July 27th, 28th and 29th, young and old plus those in between are invited to come along and see what is on offer in Nenagh Community Wellness Garden by celebrated community development artists and indeed artists in their own right.
Artists taking part over the three days include: Susannah O’Reilly (silk screen printer), Gerardine Wisdom (rush work), Phil Quinn (timber work) and Shay Hannon (musician).
Things get underway on Wednesday afternoon at 2pm with screen-printing under the guidance of Susannah O’Reilly.
On Thursday we start at 11am with Gerardine Wisdom and rush work, and at 2pm Michael O’Meara will give a presentation on bees.
On Friday, Philip Quinn will be present from 10.30am running a workshop on making simple chairs.
Music will be provided on each day by Shay Hannon. There will also be information on composting, about the garden, how to get involved, learn how to make a pizza at the oven, how to use the garden plus an exhibition of brushwork by Gerardine Wisdom.
