Dawn Chorus in Templemore

The Tipperary branch of Birdwatch Ireland is hosting the county's Dawn Chorus in Templemore this Sunday.

Birdwatch Ireland promotes the protection and conservation of birds and their habitats all over Ireland. It is foremost in raising awareness of conservation issues among the wider community. This is done through illustrated talks, guided outings and lectures.

One event that attracts great interest is the Dawn Chorus. The Tipperary branch is hosting the country's Dawn Chorus event in Templemore Park on Sunday next. May 15th, at 5am.

Tom Gallagher and Kevin Collins will lead the walk around the park to identify the morning songsters. For added value, some folklore and awesome facts about our feathered friends, the plants and trees of the well managed habitats within the park, will be added in. All are welcome to this free event.

Another date for the diary is Sunday, May 22nd for the Burren bus trip.
