Rose trees stolen in nenagh

A large number of rose trees were uprooted and stolen from Nenagh's Joe Daly Road last Saturday night week.
Around 60 newly-planted trees - with a cost of €900 - were taken some time between midnight and 1am. New trees have been planted there since.
It is understood that the trees were planted as part of a local council project in association with Nenagh Tidy Towns Committee. Three women, all of whom are believed to be from Nenagh, were seen removing the trees and putting them into bags. The incident has been reported to the gardaí.
