Shakespearian gaiety in nenagh

Two young performing artists are looking forward to giving something back to their hometown when they partake in the Gaiety Shakespeare Schools Programme at Nenagh Arts Centre.

Caitlin White (22) and Daryl McCormack (21), both from Nenagh, are involved in the Gaiety School of Acting, the country's premier training facility for actors. They'll be at Nenagh Arts Centre next Monday and Tuesday to help secondary school students brush up on their Shakespeare as part of a national tour.
Aimed at Junior and Leaving Cert and also Transition Year students, the tour involves full productions of 'Romeo & Juliet' and 'Othello', followed by a workshop designed to directly address the 2014/15 English exam papers.
