Farmers stage 48hour protest in nenagh

Hundreds of local farmers have participated in another Nenagh protest over meat prices.
Farmers gathered outside the Anglo Beef Processors (ABP) factory from Sunday afternoon as part of a national 48-hour protest organised by the Irish Farmers Association.
North Tipperary IFA Chairman Tim Cullinane said farmers kept the protest going throughout the 48 hours on a rotational basis with 50 to 100 present outside the factory at any one time. He said as many as 1,500 people in total could have attended the protest over 48 hours.
