Nenagh store paints it pink for irish cancer society

This Friday, October 10th, Nenagh's Zip Yard will, as part of Ireland’s leading clothing and alterations boutique, be donating 50% of turnover to the 'Paint it Pink' campaign.
Paint it Pink is a fun way for people to raise money for the Irish Cancer Society’s work across breast cancer, funding vital research, advocacy and services to those affected by breast cancer. For the month of October, The Zip Yard at 54 Pearse St, Nenagh will turn pink as they raise funds through pink bake sales, pink coffee mornings, pink sponsored walks and runs, as well as offering wardrobe makeovers to breast cancer survivors.
With over 20 charity shops throughout the country, those wishing to support the Irish Cancer Society now have the opportunity to have their garments made to fit at the Zip Yard, and in doing so raise additional funds.

Pam Quirke of Nenagh's Zip Yard said: 'We are delighted to support this great cause and hope to raise €10,000 over the month of October throughout The Zip Yard group through a range of activities, not least on our 'Sew Pink Day' on October 10th when we will give 50% of turnover to the Irish Cancer Society.'
The Irish Cancer Society's Corporate Officer, Gráinne Kennedy commented: 'We are delighted to have The Zip Yard on board as one of our Pink Partners and appreciate all of their efforts in raising funds, which will go a long way to help in the fight against breast cancer.'
