‘Raise the Bar for Cystic Fibrosis’ event

Nenagh is hosting an event this Friday night, July 24th, called ‘Raise the Bar for Cystic Fibrosis’. Noreen O’Sullivan, of Rocky's Bar in Kickham Street, has been nominated to sing a song as part of the event, which is a national fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland (CFI). The campaign sees bar owners or bartenders around the country nominated for the ‘Raise the Bar for CF’ challenge.

The nominated person becomes a star for the night and must sing a song (of their own choosing) for their customers. The performance must be recorded. A collection will take place in the pub with all proceeds going towards helping people with CF in Ireland. The recording is then posted to the ‘Raise the Bar for CF’ Facebook page, naming the bar, the singer and the amount collected.

Then it’s nomination time! Your bar nominates the next bar to participate and the owner/bartender they want to take on the challenge. Noreen O’Sullivan was nominated by Elaine Carew Kirwan of Barne Lodge in Clonmel.

If you cannot make it to  your local to support their ‘Raise the Bar for CF’ challenge, you can still support the event by donating to the ‘Raise the Bar for CF’ My Charity page and naming the bar you wish to support in their fundraising efforts.
