Cáitlín Kennedy top scored with 2-4 for Tipperary

Depleted Tipp still progress to Munster Final

Tipperary 2-15

Clare 2-11

Even without star player Aisling Moloney, Tipperary progressed to the final of the Munster Intermediate Ladies Football Championship with victory over Clare in Tipperary Town on Saturday.

Off the back of the huge win over Limerick in round 1, Tipp have booked their place in the final on June 15th against either Clare or Waterford who meet in the final round-robin game in Ennis this Saturday. That Munster final will be important and the provincial champions are seeded for the All Ireland Championship group stages and Tipperary will now feel confident of taking down the Banner ladies again next month.

Despite fielding without Aishling Moloney and could afford to take Aisling McCarthy off early in the second half, Tipperary were reasonably comfortable although the game lacked an edge with the sides likely to meet in the final, and possibly again later in the summer.
