Senior Camogie semi-final line-up confirmed

The line-up is now complete for the semi-finals of the County Senior Camogie Championship following last Saturday's final round of group games.

In group 1, Burgess/Duharra finished top with three wins from three, after receiving a walkover from Cahir last Saturday, the South Tipp side having nothing to play for.

They are joined by old rivals Drom & Inch who easily accounted for Silvermines in their decisive game in The Ragg, 6-20 to 2-2.

In group 2, Clonoulty/Rossmore soldier onto the semi-finals and kept their 100 per cent record after a comprehensive 5-16 to 1-11 win over Nenagh. Manager Thomas Butler was pleased with his side’s performance and now they knuckle down to prepare for the forthcoming challenge of Drom & Inch.

Eire Og Annacarty will provide Burgess/Duharra's opposition in the second semi-final after they accounted for Borris-Ileigh, 3-11 to 1-8 in Borrisoleigh. Both semi-finals are expected to be played on the weekend of 29-30 September.

Borris-Ileigh and Cahir finished bottom of their groups winless and are facing into a relegation battle.

Silvermines and Nenagh won one game each which wasn’t enough to take them further, so both bowed out last weekend but can be pleased with their progress this year.
