Zoom talk on Bloody Sunday

On Sunday, October 4th, Kilbarron Terryglass Historical Society will host award-winning journalist Michael Foley in a Zoom talk based on his research for his book, 'The Bloodied Field: Croke Park, Sunday 21st November 1920'.

The talk will cover events of that day in Croke Park, when Tipperary took on Dublin in a challenge match, and will focus on the impact of Bloody Sunday on the families, the GAA and the wider country.

Michael Foley is Sports Editor with the Sunday Times and author of a number of books focusing on sporting events in Irish history. 'The Bloodied Field', first published in 2014, has been updated for the 100th anniversary.

This talk was scheduled for Terryglass last March but had to be postponed due to the lockdown. The society is grateful to Michael Foley for rescheduling it to this Sunday evening, October 4th, via Zoom. Zoom talk details - Sunday at 7.30pm for talk to start at 7.45pm. Anyone who wishes to join the talk may email the society at kilbarronterryglasshistsociety@gmail.com. A link to the talk will be sent out on Saturday.
