Birdhill pupils feature in choral concert

 The National Children’s Choir will perform in the University Concert Hall in Limerick next Tuesday (May 14th). This concert marks the end of an exciting years work and rehearsals for 180 children from five schools in the region, Birdhill NS, Murroe NS, Nicker  NS, Quin NS and Cratloe NS.


 

This is a night not to be missed. The excitement from the children is infectious and the repertoire will send you home with a song in your heart and a smile on your face. The programme includes favourites and classics like, Starman, 59th Bridge Street Song, Ave Maria, Crandall Bogadai, O Fortuna, Bheir Me O to mention just a few. The night's entertainment features the School of Music Orchestra, The Nolan School of Dancing and Finscéal All Ireland Gael Linn Siamsa Winners 2019.


 

The girls and boys are a great credit to their committed and enthusiastic teachers and the unending support from their parents. Bernadette Kennedy is the Regional Organiser/Co-ordinator and Gabrielle Lee Casey is the Musical Director who never ceases to encourage and inspire at all times.
