Soloheadbeg ambush talk in Nenagh

The title of the Ormond Historical Society talk on Monday February 11th is 'From Election to Ambush: Tipperary, December 1918 - January 1919'.

The speaker is Dr Des Marnane, who has written and lectured extensively on the history of Tipperary, and is currently editor of the Tipperary Historical Journal. His book, 'The 3rd Brigade', published in 2018, is widely regarded as the definitive study of the independence struggle in South Tipperary. 

The talk is at the Abbey Court Hotel at the usual time of 8pm. All are welcome. Non-members: €5 admission.
