Do you know what you’re eating?
Nenagh Library will host a free Healthy Ireland at Your Library event this month, offering the public an opportunity to learn more about the food choices they make every day and their impact on long-term health.
‘Do You Know What You're Eating?’ will take place on Tuesday, September 22, from 6.30pm to 8pm at Nenagh Library.
The informative health talk will be presented by Órla Murphy, MSc, founder of Reversible Health, Positive Health Coach and EMCC Accredited Senior Practitioner. Drawing on evidence-based health and nutrition principles, Ms Murphy will provide practical guidance to help people better understand the foods they purchase and consume.
Attendees will learn how to read and interpret food labels with confidence, identify ultra-processed foods, and make healthier choices while shopping. The session will also explore simple food swaps and explain how nutrition connects with other key pillars of Lifestyle Medicine, including sleep, stress management, physical activity and social connection.
The event is aimed at anyone interested in improving their own health, supporting their family's wellbeing, or gaining a greater understanding of nutrition and healthy eating habits.
Organisers say that small everyday food choices can have a significant impact on overall health and wellbeing, and participants will leave with practical advice they can apply immediately in their daily lives.
The event is free of charge, but booking is essential. To reserve a place, contact Nenagh Library on 067 34404.
