Council embraces AI
Tipperary Co Council staff are using artificial intelligence to improve efficiency.
Director of IT Mark Connolly told last month’s meeting that the council has an AI policy in line with national public sector policy. Use of AI is subject to "checks and balances”; if, for example, a presentation is prepared with AI assistance, this must be stated as part of the presentation.
Mr Connolly said training could also be provided to councillors in the use of AI. This could be done in-house, as opposed to hiring consultants.
