Summer Act of Kindness in Portroe

Our parish’s inter-faith group ‘Celebrating Women’ invite you to a night of prayer and reflection called ‘Sisters in Solidarity’ on Wednesday, May 27, in St Mary’s Church, Portroe, at 7.30pm.

The focus of prayer will be for the women in Gaza, Lebanon, Ukraine, Sudan, South Sudan, Haiti and any areas where women’s rights and safety are being oppressed.

On the night there will be an opportunity to support vulnerable women who are supported by charities like Novas, Adapt House, Suaimhneas refuge, etc.

The charities will be supported with the ‘Handbags of Love’, ideas for the bags include shampoo, soap, toothpaste and toothbrush, hairbrushes, hair ties, feminine hygiene products, suncream, lip balm, sweet treats, pen and paper, and anything else you might like to donate.
