Talking water safety
On Thursday and Friday, April 16 and 17, 411 students from five Nenagh primary schools took part in an interactive talk on water safety at Nenagh Tourist Office.
The water safety talk was given by Finn Mullen, the Water Safety Education Manager with the RNLI. The students learnt about water safety, what to do in an emergency and how to float if they get into trouble in the water. They were also reassured that there are currently no sharks in Lough Derg!
This is the fourth year Nenagh Tourist Office and the RNLI have worked together to provide water safety talks to students in Nenagh and surrounding areas.
