Bríd’s winning way with Spanish

A Third Year student at St Mary's Secondary School, Newport is 'top of the class' nationally within her category as a fluent speaker in Spanish.

Bríd Mulcahy is the Irish national winner of the Spanish category of the prestigious Languages Connect Competition.

She has received heartiest congratulations from her fellow students at St Mary's Secondary School with tributes and compliments also due to Spanish teacher at the school, Michelle Caffrey.

The award is an incredible achievement for Bríd as a talented writer and linguist.

The competition was the Spanish category of the Flash Fiction Euro Languages College – Languages Connect competition.

Bríd receives a three week residential trip to a Spanish summer school here in Ireland worth over €1,500. Congratulations to Bríd and her teacher, Michelle.
