Premier Cubs have come a long way

There were scenes of disappointment following the full-time whistle as the Tipperary minors were beaten in the All-Ireland semi-final by Galway.
Manager Ray Ralph was devastated, but also extremely proud of his players for the effort they had put in, not only on the day but throughout the whole campaign.
“Very disappointed, and having to travel all the way up this far for the game, doesn’t make a lot of sense, but it is what it is,” he began.
“I thought we played well, but we seemed to fall asleep for about a ten-minute period in the second half and Galway punished us for it, and even though we fought back at the end we had left ourselves too much to do at that late stage.
“We just couldn’t get our hand son the ball during that period, they just seemed to dominate the puckout, a bit like we did to them for a period in the first half, but when we did get the ball into our forwards, we showed how dangerous we could be.
“I couldn’t have asked for anymore from the girls, they gave it their all, and considering where we were at the start of the year, to where we are now the girls have improved massively, and they have given it everything.
“I couldn’t have asked for more out there. They kept going right up to the final whistle, and I am extremely proud of each and every one of them.
“Despite the late fight back we came up just short in the end and look that’s sport at the end of the day, but yeah very proud of everyone.”
