Nenagh firm making peanut butter plans expansion
A NENAGH based firm manufacturing a range of award-winning single origin craft peanut butters has been granted planning permission to expand its facilities.
Tipperary County Council has given the green light to Nutshed Ltd to retain a single storey extension and permission to construct a new extension to the rear of its existing unit at the Stafford Street Enterprise Centre.
It has also been granted permission to temporarily locate a gas storage tank adjacent to the property.
The company is run by sisters Evie and Eliza Ward, daughters of the proprietors of the multi-award winning food shop Country Choice in Kenyon Street, Peter and Mary Ward.
Nutshed’s single origin peanut butters have been a huge success story since the establishment of the firm. The company’s produce is now supplied to over 600 shops around Ireland, including Dunnes Stores, Tesco and Supervalu.
