The Watch Centre Junior 'A' Hurling Championship
Only one game took place last week in round 2 with Kilruane MacDonaghs and Toomevara playing out a hard-fought draw in their clash, with both sides finishing on 1-14 apiece.
Conor Doheny’s goal in the 21st minute helped Kilruane into a 1-9 to 1-4 lead at the break, after Alan Ryan had found the net for Toomevara in the 17th minute. Kilruane held a narrow lead throughout much of the second half and were two points up entering added time.
However, late points from Mikie Delaney—one from play and one earned free converted by Davy Nolan—brought Toomevara level at the final whistle in what was an evenly contested encounter throughout.
Kiladangan v Ballinahinch was postponed due to the passing of Willie Connors Senior. The North Board wish to offer sympathy to the Connors family and the Kiladangan club on the sad passing of Willie.
The clash of Roscrea and Nenagh Eire Og was also postponed - both games will take place at a later date
Round 4 will take place this Friday, 11th July at 7.15pm - Toomevara face Ballinahinch in Puckane, Kiladangan face Nenagh Eire Og in Nenagh, but Kilruane MacDonaghs v Borris Ileigh has been postponed.
