Borrisokane must shift focus quickly to football semi-final

After seeing their Intermediate hurling championship ambitions go up in smoke last weekend, Borrisokane must shake off that disappointment quickly as they face into an Intermediate football championship semi-final this Saturday.

After wins over Cashel King Cormacs, Clonoulty/Rossmore and Clonmel Commercials, Borrisokane are on a good run of form heading into a last four clash with Golden Kilfeacle.

The game will Tipp senior football panellists Philip Austin (Borrisokane) together with Golden's Shane O'Connell and Josh Keane, and both sides will be anxious after recent hurling disappointments to stay on course for football glory and move closer to a return to the senior grade.

Golden Kilfeacle are also unbeaten so far having progressed from their group with three wins from three over Carrick Swans, Rockwell Rovers and last years runners-up Clonmel Og. In the quarter final last weekend, they edged out a strong Moyle Rovers side and after reaching the semi-final of division 1 of the County League earlier this year, are a side on the rise.
