Toastmasters return for 2026/'27 season

The start of September affords guests a perfect opportunity to commence a new pastime such as Toastmasters.

The first meeting of Nenagh Toastmasters for the 2026/’27 season will take place on Tuesday, September 8, at 8pm at the Abbey Court Hotel. Guests are more than welcome to attend any meeting to get a flavour for Toastmasters and to see whether it is of interest to them.

Typically, guests become members if they wish to overcome difficulty with public speaking. Events such as a wedding or an office party typically require some degree of public speaking.

Toastmasters provides the perfect environment to hone your public speaking skills. Other events such as job interviews typically require one to speak off the cuff. Toastmasters allows members to partake in table topics sessions, which helps to develop impromptu speaking perfect for job interviews.

Toastmasters also affords members an opportunity to mingle and network with each other, thus improving their social skills.

The break for tea and coffee is often considered the most important component of a Toastmasters meeting. It is entirely up to the guests to decide whether they wish to join Toastmasters.
