Tipp goalkeeper is among 4 nominated for 2026 ZuCar Golden Glove
GOALKEEPERS from Carlow, Kerry, London, Roscommon and Tipperary have been nominated for the 2026 ZuCar Golden Glove award.
The ZuCar Golden Glove will be presented to the goalkeeper who wins the popular vote at the Ladies Gaelic Football Association’s website page: https://bit.ly/4qhFdc5
Carlow’s Nicole Hanley, Kerry’s Mary Ellen Bolger, London’s Grace Amos, 2025 winner and Roscommon captain, Helena Cummins, and Tipperary’s Lauren Fitzpatrick are the five goalkeepers in with a chance of claiming the award from ZuCar, the LGFA’s Official Performance Partner, and sponsors of the ZuCar All-Ireland U-18 Championships.
The ZuCar Golden Glove award was introduced in 2021 to acknowledge goalkeeping excellence during the TG4 All-Ireland Championships.
Longford’s Riane McGrath was the inaugural recipient, Laois goalkeeper Eimear Barry won the award in 2022, Dublin’s Abby Shiels was the 2023 winner, Kerry’s Ciara Butler claimed the 2024 award and Helena Cummins was our 2025 recipient.
Voting is now open to crown the 2026 winner and you can view the saves above or by clicking here.
Option A is a brilliant tip-over save from London’s Grace Amos during the TG4 All-Ireland Junior Championship fixture against Sligo, to deny Lauren Normanly.
Option B is an excellent close-range save from Kerry goalkeeper Mary Ellen Bolger to keep out Galway’s Kate Slevin in the TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship final.
Option C features Roscommon goalkeeper Helena Cummins, our 2025 winner, and it’s a really good save again as she rushes out to keep out Westmeath’s Sarah Dillon in the TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate semi-final.
Option D is Tipperary goalkeeper Lauren Fitzpatrick and a fine double-save in the TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship relegation tie against Tyrone.
And Option E is Carlow goalkeeper Nicole Hanley, as she smothers an effort from Antrim’s Orlaith Prenter in the TG4 All-Ireland Junior Championship final.
Fans voting for their preferred choice will be in with a chance to win a ZuCar goodie pack.
The winning goalkeeper will be presented with the 2026 ZuCar Golden Glove award – and voting will close at 5.00pm on Wednesday, August 26th.
The winner of the 2026 ZuCar Golden Boot is Antrim star Maria O’Neill who finished as leading scorer in the 2026 TG4 All-Ireland Championships, with a haul of 11-20 (53 points) for the TG4 All-Ireland Junior Championship winners.
Maria will be presented with her award, along with the Golden Glove winner, early next month.
