The Watch Centre Junior ‘A’ Hurling Championship
This Friday, we have the semi-finals of the Junior ‘A’ Hurling Championship where Nenagh Eire Og take on Roscrea in Toomevara while Ballinahinch take on Kilruane MacDonaghs in Dolla. Both games at 7.00pm.
Last Friday in the quarter finals, Ballinahinch had a three point victory over Toomevara while Nenagh had too much power for Borris-Ileigh.
The Watch Centre Junior ‘B’ Hurling Championship
Two more rounds are yet to be played in group 1. This Thursday, Burgess host Toomevara while Portroe host table-toppers Borrisokane on Sunday where wins for Burgess and Borrisokane would almost guarantee both teams would qualify from the group with one round remaining, while wins for Portroe and Toomevara would see four teams’ level on four points with one round left to play.
Newport, Ballina, Roscrea and Moneygall all await in the knockout stages.
Ger Gavin Home Interiors Minor Hurling Championships
With three rounds now complete in the Minor ‘A’ Hurling Championship, the tables are beginning to take shape.
In Group 1, Newport and Roscrea have one foot each in the knockout stages with four points after two games. Newport travel to Burgess while Roscrea host Silvermines this Wednesday.
In Group 2, four of the five teams can still qualify. Borris-Ileigh are top with six points after three games, with Kiladangan, Toomevara and Kilruane MacDonaghs on two points each.
Borris-Ileigh host Kilruane and Kiladangan host Toomevara this Wednesday. Depending on results, there is a scenario where three teams could end up on six points, however, a Borris win over Kilruane will see them qualified with the other three teams battling for the final spot.
After two rounds of the Minor ‘B’ Championship, Ballinahinch/Templederry are the only team yet to record a win. Naomh Eoin sit top of the table with four points while Moneygall and Portroe both on two points.
Round 3 will take place on Wednesday, August 5th where the semi-final pairings will be decided.
