Return of the Black Mills Sessions

Roscrea Heritage Society is delighted to announce the much anticipated return of the Black Mills Sessions for 2026.

Step into history and sound at the Black Mills, a beautifully preserved 18th century heritage site on Church Street, Roscrea. Nestled beside the iconic 11th century Round Tower and directly opposite the remains of a 12th century Romanesque church, the mill offers a truly unique setting for live music. Renowned for its exceptional acoustics, the mill provides an intimate atmosphere where performances can be experienced at their very best.

The 2026 series of live music sessions will take place on the last Friday of each month from April through to December, with an additional event planned during National Heritage Week. A full lineup of artists will be announced in the coming weeks.

The opening session will be held on Friday, April 24, featuring Séamus Moloughney, Paddy Curran, and Pat Byrne for an evening of folk song not to be missed.

Tickets (€10) are on sale now via Eventbrite. As seating is limited, tickets must be purchased in advance.
